Isis's All Time Favorite Actors/Actresses

Isis's Favorite Actresses and Actors

5. Anne Hathaway
Anne Hathaway captured our hearts in her 2001, debut film The Princess Diaries. Anne played the role of Princess Mia perfectly. She made every young and teenage girl want to be a princess just like her.  Since 2001, Anne Hathaway has starred in numerous films such as The Devil Wears Prada, Broke Back Mountain, Alice in Wonderland, The Dark Knight Rises, and Rio. Anne had no problem acting as a geeky assistant, a murderous house wife, a gorgeous queen, a sexy cat woman, and the voice of a bright blue bird. Simply put, Anne Hathaway has an extremely diverse acting career. She may have started off as a diamond in the rough, but now all her edges are as smooth as can be. We have watched Hathaway transform from a young nineteen year old to a beautiful woman. Anne Hatchway’s career has progressed quickly as she now takes on more sophisticated and serious roles in which she portrays brilliantly.

4. Kerry Washington

Kerry Washington is highly known for her sassy role in the hit ABC network show, Scandal. Kerry plays the role of a high-end lawyer who will do just about any and every thing to try to help fix the lives of her clients. Kerry Washington is very talented and does a great job of using her facials, voice, and emotions to make viewers believe that she is truly the character that she is portraying. Although Kerry has large roles in movies such as I Think I love My Wife and For Colored Girls, her most favorable role, in my opinion, would be that of Broomhilda Von Shaft in the highly rated film Django Unchained. Kerry made her way to my top five actors and actresses list after she blew me away in this film. Washington acted as a German – raised slave who went through many trials and tribulations to find the man she loved. Kerry Washington was beautiful, poised, and convincing, and I have been a huge fan ever since.

3. Heath Ledger

Heath ledger made me fall in love with him with just two films: The Dark Knight and Brokeback Mountain. In The Dark Knight, heath ledger astounded everyone with his character, The Joker. Although Heath may have been playing the role of a bad man, he looked very good while doing so. His evil smile and oily hair was enough to creep out even the toughest guy on the planet. Heath Ledger did an amazing job at playing a terrifying, creepy, and beloved role. Furthermore, he was previously able to impress everyone in a very different, controversial role as Ennis Del Mar in the film Brokeback Mountain. Ennis Del Mar was a man who was secretly having a homosexual relationship for over twenty years while he married with children. Ledger was able to take a role that was so controversial and disturbing to some and transform it into a beautiful piece. Unfortunately, Heath Ledger passed away in 2008 at the early age of twenty eight. However, he will always remain on my top five list of actors and actresses.

2. Rachel McAdams

Rachel McAdams has roles is many films like The Family Stone, The Time Traveler’s Wife, Mean Girls, Midnight in Paris, The Vow, and Sherlock Homes. Rachel McAdams has been a part of so many top rated movies, and although her role in each of these is nothing less than impeccable, there is one role in one film that landed her a place as number two on my top five.  Two Words: The Notebook. Every female in the world should have fallen in love with the wonderful Rachel McAdams in 2004, when The Notebook was released. McAdams did an astonishing job in playing Allie Calhoun. Rachel has a way of making you love her in this film. When she smiled, you smiled. When she laughed, you laughed, and when she cried, you boo-hooed like a baby. Because of her incomparable acting skills, the viewer is able to feel every heartbreak that she feels. Rachel McAdams is just one of those actresses that you can’t help but love. She makes you connect to her and she pulls you in with her beautiful smile, which is how she pulled her way to number two on my list.

1.W I L L  S M I T H

Will Smith may easily be the greatest actor of the last five years, if not longer. He has a very impressive filmography, including, but not limited to: The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Made in America, Six Degrees of Separation, Bad Boys, Independence Day, Men in Black, Wild Wild West, Ali, I Robot, Hitch, Shark Tell, The Pursuit of Happyness, I am Legend, Hancock, Seven pounds, After Earth, and many more. Will Smith is number one on my list simply because he is amazing. There has never been a role that Will Smith did not commit to 110%. He is believable, impressive, and wise in his film choices. If there is a role that Will feels like he cannot connect to, he will deny the chance and refer someone that he believes is capable of doing a better job. Will Smith has never let me down. Whether he’s taking part in an action, drama, romantic, comedy, or a voice over film, he makes it so that you will want to see the movie time and time again. His smile and charismatic charm is ageless and I could never get tired of paying eight to twelve dollars to see his handsome face on a big screen. I appreciate the fact that he works extremely hard to craft his acting skills, and I will always be a loyal fan.
